In short
- 01Having some of these symptoms does not mean a person is afflicted by the eye or ḥasad.
- 02Medical first, alongside ruqyah: see a doctor for anything on this list.
- 03What raqis weigh is the pattern — reactions that intensify around the Quran, and complaints that resist medical explanation after proper investigation.
Before anything else: symptoms are not a diagnosis
This list needs two frames around it, and the source itself supplies the first one. It states plainly: having some of these symptoms does not mean a person is afflicted by the eye or ḥasad. These are the signs an experienced raqi has seen recur across a great many cases, and which he weighs together when questioning a patient, never a checklist for self-diagnosis.
The second frame is this site’s standing rule: medical first, alongside ruqyah. Many symptoms below (persistent headaches, unexplained bruising, digestive problems, skin changes, low mood, and above all anything the source calls “cancer” or “psychiatric states”) are the things doctors exist to investigate. See a doctor first for anything on this list. Ruqyah runs alongside medical care, not instead of it.
The list is published because, as Ibn al-Qayyim writes in Badā’i‘ al-Fawā’id (2/367): “This is a knowledge known only to the discerning among people; those veiled from it deny it, and none knows its effect and its connection to the natural order except one who has some taste of it.” Experienced raqis recognise patterns; this page records the patterns they report.

the items raqis weight most see a doctor first
Anything here that a doctor could investigate goes to a doctor first.
The thread that runs through the distinctive items: reactions that intensify around the Quran, and complaints that resist medical explanation after proper investigation. That combination, not any single symptom, is what raqis weigh.
Signs raqis report from dreams
The source presents this second list as what has been handed down among raqis and from those who came before — practitioner lore, not revealed text:

the items raqis weight most
If several of these signs describe you, do not panic and do not start a hunt for a culprit. Get the medical side checked properly, and take up the prescribed means: the daily adhkār, self-ruqyah, and, if you want a structured approach, the daily treatment programme for the eye and ḥasad in our Plans section.
Medical first, alongside ruqyah — nothing here replaces a doctor’s care.
